Meet the Guild Board of Directors

I am a lifelong knitter.  From the excitement of getting my little skeins of variegated Red Heart yarn when I was 5, to knitting my way through school.  I earned money knitting those itchy Mohair sweaters in the early 60’s.  Knitting has been a thread through my life. It has sustained me through the ups and downs.  It has frustrated me, challenged me and provided countless hours of quiet peace.  And that pure joy of “Oh I get it!”.  Attending my first meeting of the Greater Boston Knitting Guild after retirement was a glorious day.  I had found new friends who shared my passion, endless inspiration, found workshops and speakers to learn and grow.
I joined the Greater Boston Knitting Guild in 2013 after retiring from a 25 year career with FedEx.  I am wife to John (42 years and counting), mom to Elizabeth and Peter, and proud Grandma to Cayden, Emilia, and Violet.  I have been knitting for 65 years.  Since joining the Guild my skills, knitting abilities, and new friendships have grown far beyond what I could have ever imagined. I love helping new knitters of all ages. I look forward to serving you as we go forward with our beloved Guild.
