We are happy you're here. Our Members come from 20 states (so far!), Switzerland, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Australia. The Membership includes beginners, advanced, experts, and all levels in between.
We share a curiosity of all things knit, crochet and fiber. We provide a variety of programs and events to satisfy the curious. Together we learn, we teach, we pass the craft down through the next generation and find inspiration. Our Guild brings the world of making, design, and fiber to our Membership.
Gather your yarn, grab your needles, and join us at any of our events for a smile, a new friend, and a spark of inspiration. It’s nice to be with people who understand why your stash is so large or your number of works in progress is what it is!
Looking forward to a very busy 2023 at the Greater Boston Knitting Guild with you.
- Cynthia Doherty, President

We had a stellar month at GBKG in collecting and boxing over 1200 items!
Many, many thanks to EVERYONE contributed we cannot thank you all enough for your support.
However, just because March has come and gone, these institutions are always in need.

Knitting for Good
Since 1993, we have been putting our needles to work for others as well as ourselves. You can help by knitting a Prayer Shawl for Brigham and Women's Hospital; hats, booties, or sweaters for The Newborn Baby Unit at Boston Medical Center; or clothing for the homeless and others in need through The Knitting Connection. We also knit period clothing for interpreters at the Plimoth Patuxet Museums. We like to say it's knitting for GOOD!
