Tricia Healy Mitchell

Healy Heritage Farm started when a trip to Ireland sparked a flame of an idea that grew into the shepherding and small batch yarn reality of today. Tricia Healy Mitchell, with the help of family and friends, took land that had been unproductive for years and turned it into a foundation for ethical animal husbandry and regenerative agriculture, all while growing fleece that is made into beautiful yarn. Raising Romney and Leicester Longwool sheep (listed as a threatened breed with the Livestock Conservancy), Tricia has learned from the ground up and will share all that has gone into this personal adventure into the fiber arts and slow fashion industry.
